Residing in Excelsior Springs and servicing all the surrounding Kansas City areas. I fell in love with dog training in the military as an explosive dog handler. Since then, nearly 20 years ago, I’ve been training and working with dogs and owners.
I have been working with dogs for over 17 years through the United States Military and private dog training franchises. I was part of 2 explosive K9 Programs in the Army. Combat Mine Detection Dog Program and the Specialized Search Dog Program for the United States Army Engineer Corps Counter IED Program.
I am an Army Combat Veteran of ten years, active duty.
I have worked and trained K9s with the Army since 2009.
As a soldier and instructor, I worked with and trained military working dogs, detection for land mines and off-leash explosive detection k9s. On my Combat deployment to Iraq we had bomb dogs attached to our unit for route clearance patrols. That is where I found out about reenlisting for a K-9 unit in Missouri at Ft. Leonard Wood. I reenlisted twice to stay with the unit until the End of 2016 when I ended my Active Duty Service.
I Trained Dogs for Off Leash Obedience for over 7 years for a Frachose Compnay. I took on a Job for 2 years as an Instructor/Trainer teaching Active Duty soldiers in the same program I went through in 2009, Mine Detection Dog Program.
Currently I have started my own Program here in Excelsior Springs, Missouri.
I work a lot with behavior modification, specializing in obedience training and fixing the root problems and behaviors. Training dogs in on and off-leash obedience and retrieval training, working around distractions and desensitizing training. Teaching dogs to not worry about the environment And focus on what I am asking of the dog.
